I came across a genealogy writing challenge and it piqued my interest. What is better than mixing two of my favorite hobbies? I’ve been wanting to write more. Check. I’ve been wanting to get back to my genealogy research. Check!
Each week I plan to write a story based on a chosen ancestor. There are plenty of ancestors with documented stories, but what about those that don’t have their story written down? My goal is to reach deep into my family tree and get stories down for future generations. I hope this opens up dialogue and gets other stories flowing among the family. Here is hoping for a new year and a successful new project!
